The hospitality sector handles large volumes of drinks and packaging, representing almost 20 % of Europe's recycling potential, meaning hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes can have a significant impact in reducing the contamination of glass with ceramics or porcelain \u2014 factors that reduce the quality of recycling.<\/p>\n

FIHR, as a HOTREC member, supports the responsible collection and recycling of glass in the HORECA sector, while supporting the European circular economy.
\n\ud83c\udfac The HOTREC campaign also includes a short inspirational video, "The Sound of Glass<\/a>", with the simple message: "Glass and ceramics share the same table, not the same trash can."<\/p>\n

By training staff and implementing simple and effective practices, HORECA units can:
\n\u2705 Collect glass cleanly and efficiently
\n\u2705 Protect recycling infrastructure
\n\u2705 To support a sustainable circular economy.
\n\ud83d\udca1 FIHR encourages all units in the hospitality industry to join this initiative and transform good practices into concrete actions for quality glass recycling.<\/p>\n
