Federația Industriei Hoteliere din România – FIHR, partener al evenimentul “Inclusive Horizons: Accessible Tourism and the European Accessibility Act”/ „Orizonturi incluzive: turismul accesibil și Directiva Europeană privind accesibilitatea”, eveniment organizat de European Accessibility Resource Centre – România.
Scopul evenimentului este acela de a discuta despre Legea nr. 232/2022 care transpune în legislația națională Directiva Europeană privind Accesibilitatea (European Accessibility Act – EAA) și care are un impact direct și asupra companiilor care oferă servicii în sectorul turismului.
Set to enter into force on June 28, 2025, this regulatory act establishes the legal framework for eliminating barriers related to the accessibility of products and services intended for consumers in Romania and imposes strict accessibility requirements for certain products and services introduced on the market after this date.
Topics of interest:
- air, rail, maritime and road passenger transport services, which must be accessible, and reservation systems (e.g. check-in terminals, electronic tickets) must be adapted to be easy to use by people with disabilities;
- websites and mobile applications in the tourism sector, which must be accessible and provide information in accessible formats, including for travelers with disabilities;
- any electronic ticketing or real-time information service, which will have to comply with accessibility requirements for users with disabilities.
