First association
established in Romanian tourism

The Federation of the Romanian Hotel Industry (FIHR) is the first association established in Romanian tourism (April 1990) and represents an employers' organization that aims to represent the interests of hoteliers in Romania.

Successful advocacy

FIHR obtained legislative changes favorable to the hospitality sector, through effective advocacy actions - no less than 49 projects in 2024 were analyzed alongside colleagues from Concordia, CCT, Hotrec.

Recurring events for members

We have created an extensive networking network among our members through various events and initiatives, facilitating the exchange of good practices and information.

Specialized working groups

We organize monthly online meetings in specialized working groups (Labor, Legislation, Education, Financing, OMD) in order to identify solutions to the challenges we face in our current activity.

Resources and information provided

FIHR offers members access to valuable resources (best practice guides, information seminars, training programs, questionnaires and funding opportunities).

Programs to attract young people to the field

We are involved in projects to educate students and attract them to the hospitality field (Open Day, World Skills Competition, Education Day), improving their skills and strengthening the industry.

Supporting projects to promote Romania

We constantly participate in infotrips organized in Romania, we participate in international Tourism Fairs, we get involved in promotional projects (for example, Destination of the Year).
