European Accessibility Directive and available resources

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, FIHR organizes on December 2, 2024 at 4:00 p.m., a workshop on European Accessibility Directive, normative act fully transposed into national legislation by Law No. 232/2022, which aims to strengthen the right of people with disabilities to access goods and services available in the EU internal market.
The event will be attended by:
  • Mr. Magnus Berlund, with over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry. Since 2003 specialized in the field of accessibility in tourism, Accessibility Director for several hotels, invited to multiple events, accessibility consultant.
  •  Mrs. Cristina Căluianu, founding member of CED Romania Association Center of Excellence through Diversity, an NGO that, since 2014, promotes accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities by creating products and services developed together with people with disabilities. In 2014, she founded Accessible Romania by Sano Touring, the only tour operator specialized in accessible tourism in Romania, and, since the beginning of 2023, she has been fulfilling the role of National Expert within the European Accessibility Resource Center AccessibleEU. Cristina will review the provisions of Law no. 232/2022 relevant to the HoReCa sector and will present the ways in which CED Romania can support operators in this field to implement accessibility measures.
