Concordia Annual Meeting

On September 27, 2018, the annual meeting of the members of the Concordia Employers' Confederation (CPC), to which FIHR is affiliated, took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Bucharest. The event took place in the Round Hall and included a discussion session, followed by a cocktail dinner.

The theme of the meeting was “Aspects of current economic developments and their impact on the business environment.” The guest of honor was Mr. Valentin Lazea, Chief Economist of the National Bank of Romania, who gave a presentation on the topic of the meeting.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the 10 Concordia member federations:

Concordia is the representative employers' confederation for the business environment, bringing together the strongest sectoral federations in the Romanian economy and comprising 7 of the top 10 companies by number of employees and turnover.

Concordia assumes the mission of equidistantly representing the interests of its members, companies with Romanian and foreign capital, having the most diverse and relevant perspective on economic and social realities.

As the only Romanian employers' confederation affiliated with IOE (International Organization of Employers), Concordia permanently collaborates with its European partners and actively promotes respect for economic freedom and social responsibility, good governance and the predictability of the investment framework.
