On March 27, during the quarterly meeting of the Tourism Advisory Council, FIHR – Romanian Hotel Industry Federation was present through Ms. Simona Constantinescu – President of FIHR & CCT and Ms. Laura Elly Naghi, Executive Director of FIHR. On this occasion, a series of normative acts were debated, the discussions focusing on the finalization of legislative projects under public debate, very important for the industry, namely:
- Acts that legislate the functioning of local OMDs (PLx 50/2024)
- Digitalization in tourism through the development of the Tourism Information System – SIT and the elaboration of
Norms regarding access, registration and protection of tourists in tourist reception structures (amending and supplementing Government Decision 237/2001) - Amendments to Government Decision 1267/2010
- Methodological norms regarding the granting of holiday vouchers (amendments to Government Decision 215/2009)
At the same time, it was agreed with Minister Bogdan Ivan and representatives of the Tourism Directorate within MEDAT to resume debates on the criteria for classifying tourist structures (Order 65/2013) and the legislation regarding
operationalization of the national MDG.
The discussions also included aspects regarding:
- Financing participation in international tourism fairs through multi-annual budgets
- Inefficiency of ANPC good practice guides due to outdated reference legislation
- Transposition of EU regulations on STR and reporting by online platforms of accommodations booked through them
