Open Days in the Hospitality Industry!

The competition is intended exclusively for pupils and students who participated in this event on May 6 and/or 7, 2022 in one or more of the host locations included in national program published on this page dedicated to the event.

Did participating in the activities prepared for you by the host locations inspire you and do you think you would like to choose a career in the hospitality industry?

Now you have the chance to participate in a national competition intended exclusively for pupils and students participating in the Open Days in the Hospitality Industry organized by the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation (FIHR)!

Competition stages:

• Complete the Open Days participation feedback questionnaire by May 15, 2022 (11:59 p.m.) on this link
• May 12 – 19, 2022 – contest registration on this link
• May 20 – 29, 2022 posting of video material on the participants' personal Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and/or Linkedin accounts and interaction with the online audience (number of views, likes)
• May 30, 2022 – announcement of the list of participants for the final stage on www.fihr.ro
• May 31, 2022 – winners announced on www.fihr.ro

The hospitality industry opens its doors to students!

Maybe you've entered a hotel, marveled at the spacious and welcoming lobby, maybe you were pleasantly impressed by the kindness of the receptionist, and maybe you've asked yourself: What's it like to work in a hotel? What happens behind that door that says "staff only"? What does the kitchen where this delicious dish was cooked look like?

We want to show you all these things and we want you to meet those who dedicate their passion to the hospitality industry.

We open our doors for you and invite you to discover an industry about people, where you can make a difference!

During your visit to the locations that will open their doors for you:

• You will discover what goes on behind the doors
• You will meet young people like you who have chosen a career in the hotel industry, who will tell you about their journey and show you what a day in their hotel life is like.
• You will participate in activities created for you, from which you can discover which department suits you best.
• You will meet the managers of different departments
• You will have the chance to speak with a hotel General Manager
